I wanted to post about my podcast interview with Michelle Batten before the week got away from me. Michelle heads up iMediaWorks, a marketing consultancy based here in Atlanta. Her recently launched podcast series “Will They Stay or Will They Go?” discusses trends, industry examples as well as practical resources to help marketers and other interested professionals take better advantage of the digital space.

Our podcast, the fourth in her series is entitled, YouTube: Everyone’s Doing It So Why Not Me? The topic reflects my recent strategy shift toward online video.

Over the course of the half hour, we talked about the explosive growth of online video at a time when many companies do not have a well defined video strategy. Areas of particular interest to me are benchmarking success and integrating your video strategy while maintaining brand consistency over multiple platforms. While YouTube is the biggest game in time, there are numerous video sites to reach your audience. And complicating the picture is the emergence of mobile video which Cisco recently predicted will account for 64 percent of mobile traffic by 2013.

So check out what Michele is doing. Let me get back to you.
